ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Crime novelist. Former police officer. Seeker of justice.
Austin Green’s life has never followed a straight line — but every twist in the road has shaped the stories he tells today.
He is a former child protection officer turned crime novelist, whose stories are shaped by two decades on the front lines of law enforcement.
In the early 1970s, Austin briefly ventured into local politics, serving as an Alderman for a London borough. It didn’t take long for him to realise that the council chamber wasn’t where he wanted to make his mark, and when the chance came to join the police force, he handed in his resignation without hesitation.
Once a tailor, then a decorated police officer, Austin brings real-life grit and psychological insight to every page he writes. After a career-ending injury and a diagnosis of PTSD, writing became both his therapy and his calling.
Drawing on a lifetime of extraordinary experiences — including time spent restoring a remote mountain home in Italy — Austin now writes full-time. His crime fiction is raw, compelling, and deeply human, earning him a growing base of loyal readers.
